Welcome to Smart Societies (smartsocieties.in). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of our residential society operating system, including the Society Admin Panel, Resident Mobile Application, Security Guard Terminal, and API interfaces developed and published by SSVL Technologies ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), with registered offices in Surat, Gujarat, India.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, registering an account on, or utilizing the Smart Societies platform on behalf of a Resident Welfare Association (RWA), cooperative housing society, apartment complex, or as an individual resident, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. License & Service Scope

Subject to timely subscription payment (or enrolment in our complimentary Early Adopter launch programs), SSVL Technologies grants your housing society a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the platform for community management, visitor verification, maintenance dues billing, and resident communication.

3. Society Committee & Admin Responsibilities

The Society Administrator or Managing Committee agrees to:

• Ensure all flat numbers, owner deeds, tenant records, and vehicle numbers entered into the system are authentic and accurate.
• Maintain the confidentiality of administrative master credentials and restrict role access only to authorized committee members and security staff.
• Abide by all relevant local housing society bye-laws and municipal guidelines.

4. Resident User Conduct

Residents and occupants using the mobile self-service app agree not to:

• Issue fraudulent or spoofed visitor QR passes for unauthorized persons.
• Misuse the 1-Tap SOS Emergency Panic system for non-emergency or frivolous purposes.
• Post defamatory, abusive, or unlawful content on the community notice board or discussion channels.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with security APIs or gatekeeper terminals.

5. Financial Billing & Payment Processing

Smart Societies provides automated maintenance assessment, invoice generation, and UPI QR integration. We act strictly as a software platform facilitator. All maintenance amounts, utility charges, and penalty decisions remain the sole responsibility of your society's governing committee.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All software code, graphic designs, algorithms, trademarks, and documentation related to Smart Societies remain the exclusive intellectual property of SSVL Technologies. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of our platform without prior written authorization.

7. Service Availability & SLA

We strive to provide 99.9% platform availability. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated to society administrators with reasonable advance notice. SSVL Technologies is not liable for service interruptions resulting from local internet failures, electricity disruptions at society gates, or third-party telecom network outages.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Surat, Gujarat, India.
